As non-profit arts center, Creative York features art galleries, ceramics studios and art classes for all ages as well as several community outreach programs right here in downtown York, Pennsylvania.
Founded in 1990, Creative York supports local artists in many ways with an end-goal of making the arts more accessible to the general public. Creative York continually inspires the community with visions of everyone confidently discovering and expressing their limitless imagination, natural creativity, and infinite potential to meet the growing needs of a thriving community.
Creative York is proud to provide a focused effort in reaching at-risk children living in the City of York with their award-winning "Art in the Parks" summer program. The program features multiple art-making activities teaching social skills, respecting others, group decision-making, teamwork and positive self-expression. Creative York reaches more than 600 children yearly in addition to serving a broader audience with free art exhibits as well as other mission-related activities.
