Nearly five decades of leadership. A new chapter for JLS Automation.

After leading JLS since 1978, Craig Souser has retired, and we are pleased to announce that Russ Stroner has succeeded him as President and CEO.

Founded by Craig's father, Joseph L. Souser, in 1955, JLS grew under Craig from its roots in power transmission equipment into the hygienic robotic packaging automation company it is today. Through every change, one lesson from his father remained:

“At the end of the day, all you have is your reputation.”

Although Craig is stepping away from day-to-day leadership, he will remain connected to JLS as Chairman Emeritus.

Russ brings more than 25 years of experience in food-processing equipment, including senior roles with Provisur Technologies, MP Equipment, Bettcher Industries, Cantrell-Gainco Group, and Reiser Holdings. He has also served on the JLS advisory board for several years.

To Craig, thank you for everything you've built and the relationships you've fostered. To Russ, welcome. We look forward to what comes next.

A heartfelt thank you to Craig Souser. And a warm welcome to Russ Stroner.

After nearly 50 years of leading JLS Automation, Craig Souser has retired. Since taking the helm in 1978, he has helped grow the company his father founded into a builder of hygienic robotic packaging systems for the food industry.

But a company is more than the equipment it builds. It's the people who come to work every day, the friendships formed along the way, and the customers who become longtime partners. Craig has been part of that story every step of the way.

While he's stepping back from day-to-day leadership, we're happy he'll stay connected to JLS as Chairman Emeritus.

We're also pleased to welcome Russ Stroner as our new President and CEO. With more than 25 years in food-processing equipment and several years on the JLS advisory board, Russ brings industry knowledge and a familiarity with the people and business he'll now lead.

Craig, thank you for everything. Russ, welcome to JLS!

Please join us in congratulating them both.
