Achieve Seamless Carton Size Changeovers  

Since carton formers drop cartons onto the conveyor, rather than gently handling them, traditional cartoners and load systems can be inaccurate. These systems can jam and stop production if products aren’t placed in a precise location as they enter the machine each time. 

The Peregrine’s SCR (servo carton removal) system gently positions formed cartons onto the JLS TRAK carriers. This allows the system to precisely track and know where each carton is throughout the entire process. Once the SCR system positively grips a formed carton, it moves it vertically down into carriers on a track system, guaranteeing correct placement every time. These carriers automatically adjust to the carton size, so there’s no need to physically adjust them as you might with a mechanical system. 

Near-instant changeover and flexibility at high speeds are also possible with SCR. Changing from one carton size to another is as easy as pushing a button on the HMI and a quick recipe change. As a result, downtime decreases, and efficiency increases.
