Next-Generation Carton Loading

High-quality design is standard with our patent-pending Peregrine® robotic cartoning system. The vision-guided system changes the cartoning game with the integration of JLS TRAK™️ and handles a variety of packaging with on-the-fly changeover. The high-speed, flexible Peregrine utilizes our proprietary positive carton transport (PCT™️) system to retain full control of the carton from forming through loading, without ever letting go.

Top 5 Benefits That Give Robotic Cartoners A Winning-Edge

Peregrine High Speed Cartoner

Versatile Carton Loading

Vision-Guided Robotic Cartoning System Increases Productivity

The high-speed Peregrine robotic cartoning system easily loads flexible bags, flow packs and other primary packages into tri-seal and other style cartons. The flexible carton loading system minimizes changeover while meeting production needs for small batches.

The Peregrine is ideal for several markets, including:

  • Bakery – muffins, snack cakes, bars
  • Frozen foods – ice cream treats, finger foods
  • Meat – sausage, slices, patties, bacon
  • Poultry – breasts, drumsticks, patties

Versatile Carton Loading

The Peregrine robotic cartoning system integrates speed and flexibility in one system, while achieving versatile carton loading with several package types.

  • High-speed carton loading system
  • Continuous positive carton control from forming through loading
  • On-the-fly changeover
  • Eliminates conveyor transitions and uses no guides or collators
  • Small footprint with minimal change parts
  • Integrated TRAK, HMI, PLC, and drive and motor solutions

Here are just some of package types that the Peregrine can load into cartons:

  • Thermoformed pouches
  • Flow-wrapped packages
  • Flexible bags

Sanitary, Vacuum on Board Technology

JLS developed our Vacuum On Board technology to facilitate the use of high speed vacuum generators in primary food packing equipment and applications.

Vacuum turn on/off time is greatly reduced and problematic vacuuming hosing and tubing is eliminated. Sanitation is simple as is tool changeover and there are no clogged airlines to contend with or clean.

Our VOB 2.0 was developed in conjunction with Penn State University, allowing us to facilitate new design parameters via a computer model versus trial and error in previous design iterations. More importantly, our air consumption has been dramatically lowered with more than a 50% reduction in actual field installations.
